Lead Infrastructure Engineer - AI Scale-Up
A VC backed AI start-up is looking for a hands-on infrastructure leader to own one of the most mission-critical product areas: enterprise-grade deployment orchestration across multi-cloud and on-premise environments.
This is a high-impact role where you'll design and build the systems that allow Fortune 500 companies to securely adopt next-generation AI software in their own environments.
What you'll be doing:
- Architecting modular, scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud.
- Building Kubernetes platforms, Helm charts, and deployment pipelines that make complex software "click-to-install."
- Creating APIs, tooling, and automation that streamline operations for enterprise customers.
- Solving for enterprise constraints: security, compliance, hybrid connectivity, and air-gapped deployments.
- Partnering closely with product and engineering teams to deliver SaaS-like experiences inside customer-controlled environments.
- 5-8+ years of experience building production infrastructure with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
- Deep expertise in multi-cloud deployments and container orchestration.
- Background in enterprise platform engineering - ideally BYOC, on-prem, or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of security patterns (RBAC, secrets management, least privilege access) and compliance requirements.
- Experience designing developer platforms, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, or orchestration systems.
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with service mesh, observability stacks, or workflow orchestration systems.
- Experience supporting air-gapped or hybrid cloud deployments.
