Head of Engineering - Remote - $200-250K

Who you are:
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role, with recent start-up experience
- Strong expertise in AWS, Python, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Proven ability to manage infrastructure and product engineering in regulated or compliance-driven environments, health tech is a big plus
- Hands-on technical skills with experience implementing AI solutions and integrating AI throughout the SDLC.
- Startup mindset: collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while remaining hands-on with architecture and code reviews.
- Define and execute AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product and Security teams to deliver reliable, compliant technology.
- Inspire a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven engineering culture.
- Make decisions that shape the company's technology strategy: You'll own architecture, AI integration, and infrastructure for a high-growth health-tech startup.
