Job Summary:

The Maintenance Superintendent oversees all maintenance activities within the food manufacturing facility to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians and coordinates preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and schedule maintenance personnel to ensure timely and effective equipment repairs and servicing.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
