Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Investigations provides senior leadership and advanced support for all elements of the Ethics & Compliance Program, focusing on Third?Party Risk and Global Investigations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Avanos policies.

• Support the implementation of the Global Compliance Program under the direction of the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.
• Provide oversight for the Management Compliance Oversight Committee and other Ethics & Compliance meetings.
• Assist with the annual Risk Assessment and review activity?specific plans by the business teams.
• Lead Third?Party Seller and Non?Seller Third?Party (NSTP) compliance management and initiatives, including risk assessments and site visits.
• Conduct investigations into Ethics & Compliance related issues, allegations or identified risk areas, performing reviews, interviews and drafting reports.
• Own the helpline vendor relationship and manage system, data flows and communications with stakeholders.
• Implement and track corrective actions for identified compliance issues and assess effectiveness.
• Support drafting, implementation and communication of Compliance?related policies and procedures.
• Execute actions outlined in the annual work plan and KPIs.
• Facilitate annual training and education plans, develop communications on key risks and initiatives.
• Assist audit, monitoring and investigation teams; implement monitoring processes such as ride?along with field personnel.
• Provide day?to?day advice and guidance to business teams on Compliance matters.

Your Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors degree or non?U.S. equivalent.
• Advanced degree (MBA, JD or equivalent).
• 7+ years of experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or other healthcare organization implementing a compliance program or related experience (Internal Audit, Finance or Legal).
• English language fluency.
• Strong research, writing and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time?management skills.
• Integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building consensus and solving problems.
• Self?motivated, result?driven with an instinct to detect risk areas and red flags.
• Strategic thinker who excels at tactical responsibilities.

Preferred

• Specific training in healthcare compliance, privacy and related topics.
• Fluency in other languages.

Salary Range

The anticipated average base pay range for this position is $154,000.00 $180,000.00. In addition, this role is eligible for an attractive incentive compensation program and benefits.
