As the BDM, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, fostering strong relationships with general contractors, and expanding our market presence within the Commercial HVAC and building sector. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction or in B2B Sales within building materials / suppliers. You should bring relationships with top general contractors in the US. We're expanding our presence and seeking a driven Business Development Manager to grow strategic relationships, particularly with top-tier General Contractors across the nation. Description Identify, target, and develop business with leading General Contractors. Leverage existing relationships and industry knowledge to open doors and drive project specifications early in the sales cycle. Promote the value of our pipe joining systems in commercial building applications through presentations, demos, and technical consultations. Collaborate with internal engineering, marketing, and product teams to align customer needs with tailored solutions. Monitor construction and bid activity across the Midwest to proactively pursue project opportunities. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to build brand awareness. Maintain accurate pipeline and account information using CRM tools and report regularly on sales activity and forecasts. Educate customers on technical product capabilities, installation best practices, and long-term cost benefits. Profile 8 years of experience in: Project Management within commercial construction (mechanical/HVAC focus), or B2B sales of technical or mechanical products within the construction space. Active, professional relationships with top General Contractors in the Midwest region and beyond. Strong understanding of the commercial construction process, project timelines, and stakeholder roles. Proven track record of strategic selling and closing complex deals with long sales cycles. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to travel regionally (50%) to engage with customers and attend key events. Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field. Experience with mechanical systems, piping products, or related building solutions.
