Conducts all responsibilities in a manner that aligns with Peco's vision, mission and core values
Overall responsibility is to produce quality broilers at a competitive cost.
Coordinate all training, planning, monitoring, and scheduling of daily operations to achieve production goals.
Work closely with broiler technicians and individual contract Producers to monitor production performance and adjust programs to maximize company profit.
Close communication with the processing plant, live haul, hatchery, and feed mill operations as they relate to broiler production.
Secure broiler housing to meet the company's needs and maintain contract housing to company specifications.
Ensure that all broiler department employees are participating in the company safety program.
Responsible for vehicles assigned to the broiler department.
Responsible for animal welfare and biosecurity training and compliance in the broiler department.
Handles and ensures employees handle various chemicals, vaccines, and medications safely.
Maintain adequate staffing.
Ensure compliance with all applicable government agencies and regulations.
Physical Demands:
Sitting/standing/walking and driving 100% of the workday.
Working in normal room environment, outside environment, and in cold, hot, humid, and dusty conditions.
Lifting various weights on an as needed basis.
Physically able to climb a ladder at various heights.
